Abu Dhabi International School is a private, coeducational K-12 day school licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education. The school has an international student body from 74 nationalities. The enrollment at AIS is approximately 3500 students, and the school reserves 5% of its student body to special needs students with learning difficulties. AIS provides the opportunity for its students to graduate with an American program, the British (IGCSE and A-Levels) program or the International Baccalaureate 2 Years Diploma Programme, and prepares them for the following external examinations: ACT, AP, A-levels, IGCSE, TOEFL, SAT & SAT Subjects Tests, and IB DP.The school also has a special education department—referred to as the Student Support Services Department—that assists students with learning difficulties and developmental disabilities to reach their full potential within the mainstream school by ensuring that these students receive the appropriate accommodation that promotes academic and social success.
